Huntington, Long Island · Wedding Transportation

Wedding transportation to Oheka Castle

Oheka Castle sits on Long Island's Gold Coast in Huntington, about forty miles from Manhattan. A wedding there is a full day of moving people — the couple out early for portraits, guests arriving together, everyone home late. We run that day on one manifest, with one dispatcher watching every car.

The Wedding Day, Driven

How the day moves.

The Early Cars

Portraits at a château estate begin hours before the ceremony. We move the wedding party out of Manhattan in the early afternoon, timed against Long Island Expressway traffic, so hair, makeup, and the drive all land on schedule. The couple travels separately from the party when the day calls for it.

Guests by Sprinter

Guest lists split between Manhattan hotels and Long Island. Sprinters run scheduled loops from your hotel block, boarding together and arriving together, so no one is following a map to Huntington alone. Return times are staged, not guessed.

The Late Return

During the ceremony and reception the cars do not disappear. They stage near the estate and wait for the dispatcher's call, so when the last dance ends, sedans and Sprinters are already at the door for the forty dark miles back to the city.

The last dance ends at midnight. The cars are already waiting.

Forty miles is a long way in a wedding gown.

It should feel like no distance at all.

Twelve Seats, One Manifest

Moving the whole wedding?

The Mercedes Sprinter carries up to twelve, so the wedding party and the guest shuttle run on one manifest with one dispatcher. Sprinter runs are quoted personally by the desk.

Questions

Oheka Castle — FAQ

How early should the wedding party leave Manhattan?

For most Oheka Castle weddings the party travels out in the early afternoon, well ahead of guests, so portraits on the grounds happen unhurried. We plan the departure against the day's Long Island Expressway traffic and build in a margin, then confirm the schedule with your planner the week of the wedding.

Can you shuttle guests from Manhattan or nearby hotels?

Yes. Sprinters run scheduled departures from your hotel block, and we set the return loops with your planner — an early wave for guests leaving after dinner and a final wave at the end of the night. Every movement sits on one manifest with one dispatcher, so a timing change reaches every driver at once.

Do the cars wait during the ceremony and reception?

They stage near the venue rather than returning to the city, so the end of your night never depends on a car fighting its way back out from Manhattan. Wait time is written into the plan from the start, not improvised on the day.

How is pricing handled?

Rates are confirmed privately by the desk once we know the shape of the day — vehicles, hours, and movements. Tolls and taxes are included; gratuity is not, and remains at your discretion. Famous Drive has operated as an account chauffeur service since 2012, and wedding days are quoted as one coordinated plan, not a stack of separate rides.
